"Christian Nationalism, White Power, and American Antisemitism," by Dr. Riv-Ellen Prell, Professor Emerita, Department of American Studies, University of Minnesota
A renewed white power movement surged in the United States over the past decade One of the distinctions of current “Alt Right” movements is their renewed interest in long-discredited late 19th and early 20th century ideas about the racial superiority of the “white race,” threatened by immigration and by global “Jewish conspiracies” to pollute its purity. White power violence against Brown, Black, and Jewish people in the United States is indebted to these ideas and is a crucial component of right-wing support for Donald Trump. These ideas and movements are critical to understanding American antisemitism today.
